“I’ve known JJ since he was 8 years old and he’s the best musician, entertainer and friend PEI has to offer!”
– Natalie MacMaster –

Our corporate retreat to PEI was meant to be memorable and provide a celebration for our team. After reviewing what seemed like an endless list of options, we couldn’t have been happier with The Fiddling Fisherman. We danced a jig, played violin on the bus ride and took home some souvenir spoons after a 40+ person jam session on a dock. If JJ is on your short list of acts to book for your event, just do it! This should be the easiest decision you make.

Our group had a truly memorable and authentic “P.E.I.” experience with the Fiddling Fisherman, and J.J. and his team showed us the famous East Coast hospitality as they prepared a great lunch aboard their boats, took us out on the water, and taught us how to play the spoons! Working with them leading up to the date was a pleasure – communication was quick and clear, and JJ worked with us to customize the experience for our large group. Cannot recommend enough – The Fiddling Fisherman is simply a “Must-Do” experience in P.E.I.!

JJ and Julie bring a celebration of Island life when you are on board their vessel, Chaisson A Dream. An authentic Island meal, stories and song fill your voyage with laughter and maybe a few tears…but the good kind! Clean, courteous and celebratory in nature these hosts know how to look after their guests. We always look forward to showcasing their hospitality with our clients and friends.

J.J. and Julie listened to us and smoothly guided us through the process with grace and joy. The size of your boat solved the guest list issue. The food and drink was great, the music spectacular, your kindness and attention to our children and grandchildren heart warming, and your caring mix of casual good humour and gravitas as the occasion demanded allowed for tears and laughter, as is fitting for a celebration of life and family and also a solemn ceremony of commitment. We were particularly moved by the care and attention to our life that you showed in the ceremony. I think of myself as a practical kind of a guy but hearing you describe our relationship and family and marry us in that tidy little boat at sunset, off the beautiful red cliffs of PEI, with our close family there, was unexpectedly romantic and powerfully emotional.

Thanks JJ and Julie. I hope lots of other couples get to enjoy this wonderful experience with you.
Loving Lobsters and Living Life
It’s hard to imagine the treat you’re in for
When loosing the shackles that hold you to shore.
The wharf near the lighthouse and ferry’s the place
That you’ll start to let go of the landed rat race. The Fiddling Fisherman’s got a new boat
Chaisson the Dream’s ’mong the nicest afloat.
She’s sturdy and clean, carries plenty of folks.
And known for great music and some silly jokes.Captain J.J.’s the rooster who wields a bow
But Julie’s in charge and she goes with the flow.
You’ll wander around for a bit on the sea
Then settle in and you won’t be hungry. The trap will provide a lobster for all,
Cooked right on the deck in a pot rather tall.
Cooled by the sea it is tender and yum,
A meal so delicious you won’t leave a crumb. While you are noshing the fiddle comes out.
You’ll find it engaging, there is no doubt.
Like many an islander, J.J.’s got skills.
And he finds many ways to pay all the bills.A musical prodigy since he was small
He can’t read a note but he can play it all.
He’ll dive in head first if you hum a few bars.
And before you know it you’re under the stars. It’s not over yet, you are still in for treats.
Julie’s warming up and she’s got magic feets.
On top of her duties, like dispensing booze,
This step-dancing mate adds panache to the cruise.Spectacular gannets will fly and will dive
With luck a porpoise or two will arrive
To escort you back to Souris all aglow
It’s worth every penny so now that you knowA wonderful journey awaits you and your crew

Get on the horn and get tickets for two
Or five or for twenty, they’ve got the space
A few hours on the water and smiles on each face.
